Experience the 250th anniversary of Knox’s Noble Train of Artillery as it makes it way from Albany into Rensselaer County. Witness the ceremonial passing of a linstock as the procession makes way from the bridge down to Crailo’s Riverside Park where the Second Albany Militia will fire a cannon over the Hudson River in commemoration of this historic Revolutionary event. A replica sled will be on view as well as interpretation of how the artillery was moved from Crown Point on Lake Champlain to Dorchester Heights in Massachusetts, resulting in a robust evacuation of the British, ending the Siege of Boston in March of 1776.

Join us as we celebrate Henry Knox’s 1775/1776 journey transporting artillery from Fort Ticonderoga to Boston, after which we’ll revel in the holiday traditions of the past.
