We are committed to maintaining a high standard of authenticity. As such, the Battles of Saratoga 250th Reenactment Committee has adapted the living history standards from those created for the Saratoga National Historical Park by Eric Schnitzer (Ranger/Historian), with modifications tailored specifically to the October 2027 event.

Saratoga 250 State Militia Impressions
This document outlines the historical standards for portraying 1777 militia soldiers at Saratoga living history events, including clothing, weapons, gear, and appearance. It focuses on representing the typical militia experience while referencing period militia laws and authenticity requirements.
Saratoga 250 CAMP at the Event
