Historian Rick Atkinson (The Fate of the Day) will be the featured guest at a reception commemorating Knox’s Noble Artillery Train in 1775-76.

Ticonderoga 250th: A Revolutionary Celebration, a three-day series of events that combine festive holiday traditions with community pride and historical spirit.

Washington County will host a Knox commemorative parade, beginning at Fort Edward High School, proceeding to the Old Fort House then Fort Miller. As part of the procession, wreaths will be laid at Knox markers along the route.

Join us for a special Knox program at Crown Point State Historic Site in partnership with War Cannon Spirits.

Commemorating the 250th Anniversary of Knox’s Noble Train along the King’s Highway. The procession will travel from Peebles Island to Van Schaick Mansion, where costumed docents will greet guests for a wreath-laying ceremony, open house, and reception featuring the New York Tapestry project.

A re-enactor portraying Henry Knox will arrive at the head of Lake George on a replica bateau and be taken by a horse & cart to Fort George, where Knox actually stayed in 1775.

This immersive event at Fort Ticonderoga, retraces the first leg of Henry Knox’s legendary Noble Train of Artillery.

The regional collaboration between states, counties, and historic sites will include a “cannon relay,” handing off a replica Revolutionary era cannon from place to place on its path from Fort Ticonderoga to the high ground over Boston Harbor in the winter of 1775-1776. Saratoga County will receive the cannon approximately 1:00pm. on December 13th at Dix Bridge in Hudson Crossing Park

This immersive, day-long program recreates the dramatic arrival of Henry Knox and the vital process of proofing and selecting cannon for the Continental Army.
