Led by Sean KelleherTown of Saratoga Historian, Vice Chair of the Saratoga 250 Commission, and a gifted storyteller with more than 25 years of experience—you’ll explore the landscapes that witnessed triumph, surrender, and the turning of the tide.

Walk in the footsteps of history as Sean guides you from village streets to battlefield heights. With vivid stories and insider perspective, this tour transforms Saratoga’s past into a powerful, unforgettable experience.

Tour Highlights
  • General Schuyler’s northern estate – see the 1777 home that hosted Hamilton among many others and was the logistical outpost of a key Revolutionary leader and namesake of the surrounding Village
  • Saratoga Monument – towering 19th century symbol of victory
  • Saratoga Apple – a brief respite among  orchards harvested across historic ground. Grab fresh apples, cider, the best cider donuts around or other treats for the trip. A small gift card included for ticketed guests.
  • Saratoga National Historical Park – Visitor Center (if federal gov’t is shutdown, Visitor Center is closed. A short walk to overlook the battlefield vista, weather permitting, will occur)
  • Sword Surrender Site – see the overlook & stand in the place where General Burgoyne surrendered his sword 248 years ago to the day
  • Additional landmarks, cemeteries, and memorials that preserve layers of remembrance

Along the way, you’ll step off the bus at select stops, see the ground where history happened, and experience the stories that still echo today.
