Henry Knox’s Noble Train of Artillery Procession and Wreath Laying Ceremony

Knox’s Noble Train of Artillery Procession including horses pulling replica cannon on sleds along with reenactors and community members, will step off from the Waterford Senior Center at 9am and arrive shortly thereafter at Soldiers and Sailors Park in Waterford for a short ceremony and wreath laying at Knox Trail Marker #18. It will then proceed to Peebles Island State Park for a brief stop near the remaining earthworks created during the 1777 Saratoga Campaign before continuing on to Van Schaick Mansion.

Knox’s Noble Train of Artillery Procession will step off from the Waterford Senior Center and arrive shortly thereafter at Soldiers and Sailors Park in Waterford for a short ceremony and wreath laying at Knox Marker # 18 before continuing on to Peebles Island State Historic Park.

Procession arrives at Peebles Island State Park with a brief stop near the remaining earthworks created during the 1777 Saratoga Campaign before continuing on to Van Schaick Mansion in Cohoes.

10:30 AM- 12:00 PM  – Van Schaick Mansion, Cohoes, NY

Saratoga 250 will officially handoff the ceremonial linstock to Albany 250 at the Van Schaick Mansion. The mansion will have speakers, refreshments, tours of the house, and a commemorative bench dedication in honor of Henry Knox by the Sons of the American Revolution.
