Step into the winter of 1775 and witness history come alive at Fort Ticonderoga’s Noble Train Event. This immersive, day-long program recreates the dramatic arrival of Henry Knox and the vital process of proofing and selecting cannon for the Continental Army.

Event Details

In honor of the 250th Anniversary, the event goes even further, showcasing Ticonderoga’s central role in the Revolutionary War by reenacting the first leg of the Noble Train of Artillery. Visitors will experience how the massive cannon were moved from Fort Ticonderoga to Lake George, where they began their historic journey to Boston—an effort that forever changed the course of the Revolution.

Through engaging demonstrations, historical interpretation, and the powerful setting of Fort Ticonderoga, this program offers an unforgettable opportunity to connect with the ingenuity, determination, and resilience that helped shape America’s fight for independence.

On the 249th anniversary of the Surrender at Saratoga, explore the sites where history was made! Saratoga250 in partnership with Saratoga National Historical Park will have five sites open and staffed where you can learn about the event known as the Turning Point of the American Revolution! A free trolley provided by our partners at CDTA will allow you to move easily between sites with an onboard guide to answer questions.

Saratoga250 will have a presence at the Saratoga County Revolutionary Run for Veterans, a 5k run at Fort Hardy Park which benefits Saratoga County Veterans.

Step back in time at the Freeman’s Farm Anniversary Encampment at Saratoga National Historical Park. Experience living history demonstrations, reenactors, and programs that bring the pivotal events of 1777 to life.

September 12th – Stillwater Family Day. Join Saratoga250 at American Legion Post 490 for Revolutionary War trivia and a day of family fun!

The opening night of the Philadelphia Orchestra’s season at SPAC features Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, accompanied by cannon firing.

Enjoy Saratoga250’s Siege Living History Weekend, a two-day event full of historical interpretation and activities.
