SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — With the 250th anniversary of the Battles of Saratoga quickly approaching, this turning point in the Revolutionary War is receiving more and more recognition, with the potential of increasing even further come January 2024.
In September of this year, PBS host and travel expert Darley Newman, known for her Emmy Award-nominated PBS and streaming series, “Travels with Darley,” visited Saratoga County to film for her new “Revolutionary Road Trips” episodes – marking the first time the crew would be filming in New York for this series.
The goal of these episodes is to shine a light on “untold stories related to the American Revolution” with the episode in Saratoga County shedding a light on the crucial role Saratoga played in the American Revolution while also highlighting food, history and local attractions of the area.
